During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), the public housing construction of Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has benefited 320,000 people of 110,000 families, according to a report on the operation of the city's real estate market published by the National Bureau of Statistics Dec 16.
During the period, Guiyang accelerated the establishment of a comprehensive housing system, expanded the beneficial coverage of indemnificatory housing, and improved the supporting facilities of such housing communities, effectively solving housing difficulties for urban and rural residents.
By 2019, 96,000 public rental housing units have been constructed in the city, and 92,000 units have been allocated to residents, with an allocation rate of 96 percent.
