The Guizhou Human Resources and Social Security Department recently issued a notice about plans to organize 11,000 youths in Guizhou province to participate in employment internships in 2021.

It is an important task of the province to help young people accumulate practical experience and enhance their employability. The goal is to promote their employment and entrepreneurship as soon as possible.

College graduates who have not found employment within two years of leaving school and unemployed youths between the ages of 16 and 24 can participate in the internship program.

The scheme is also open to secondary vocational graduates in remote areas and old industrial bases who have not been employed within two years of leaving school.

The internship period is three to 12 months, and the longest internship should last no more than one year.

During the period, the interns' living allowance shall not be lower than the local minimum wage. Sixty percent of the allowance will be distributed from the employment subsidy funds.

Also, personal accidental injury and hospitalization medical and commercial insurance must be provided for the interns. The insurance fee shall be subsidized by the employment subsidy fund and not cost more than 300 yuan ($45.87) per person.
