Shuanglong economic zone embarks on recruitment drive

During the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20), Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone has focused on recruiting and providing attractive perks and services for its new hires, to speed up its development as a region with a first-class workforce.

The zone launched a series of incentives and policies, related to recruiting more employees for its resident companies. To help them attract young personnel, new hires who have worked in the zone for three years are offered introduction subsidies, living subsidies, rental subsidies and house purchase subsidies.

Over the past five years, more than 80 companies have participated in recruitment drives there, offering more than 200 positions and hiring over 30 urgently needed professionals.

Key enterprises in the zone have also established direct links with universities and colleges in the province. Every year, at least 100 students from cooperative colleges and universities go for internships in the zone.

In addition to attracting new personnel, the zone has also built innovation and entrepreneurship platforms for them and provided training facilities for them.

Over the past five years, it has granted 43.9 million yuan ($6.77 million) in project funding to more than 10 science and technology enterprises founded by high-level talent.

Meanwhile, during that period the zone has attracted 85 key projects involving more than 140 billion yuan in total investment.
