Since this year, Guizhou University – located in suburban Guiyang, capital of China's Southwest Guizhou province – has given top priority to ensuring the full employment of its graduates.

To make this happen, the university has invested more than 30 million yuan ($4.64 million) to improve and upgrade the quality of facilities and education of its undergraduates.

According to preliminary statistics, the continuing education rate of 2021 undergraduates is projected to reach 25 percent, an increase of nearly 10 percentage points on last year.

The university has also invited leading companies to recruit at the university. Since September last year, a total of 760 on-site job fairs have been held, providing 93,158 jobs, while 991 online job fairs were held, providing 33,026 jobs.

Song Baoan, president of Guizhou University, said it would set up practical skills training courses for students, in order for them to be more attractive in the workforce and be more likely to secure jobs.
