Tackling the complex employment market, Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine has reportedly restructured its career advice program for graduates and developed new models for online work, in order to improve its overall jobs guidance service.

The Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

To help its 2021 graduates, the university held seven online job fairs from the second half of 2020 until now, with a total of 378 companies participating that offered 19,217 positions. A total of 4,374 graduates signed up and submitted resumes some 32,600 times.

Meanwhile, in order to respond to the conventional recruitment needs of employers and build a supply-demand exchange platform, the university has held five major on-site campus recruitment fairs for its 2021 graduates – in strict accordance with novel coronavirus prevention and control – and 11 special regional job fairs.

These have involved the participation of around 200 employers, who offered more than 20,000 jobs.

In addition, the university has contacted local governments, talent service organizations and media outlets inside and outside the province, as well as boosted school-government exchanges and cooperation.

It has also reportedly signed agreements to promote graduate employment with Guizhou Talent Market, Guiyang Talent Service Center, Chongqing Health Talent Exchange Center, Jinhua Talent Market and Shaoxing Talent Development Service Center.

Under the agreements, they will cooperate in setting up practice bases for graduates, as well as in student careers training, talent intellectual exchanges, talent network supply and demand information exchanges, student internships, and graduate social practice and employment services.
