This year, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have rolled out 26 policies to support the development of talent, create talent innovation and entrepreneurship platforms, and optimize the talent service environment.
In the first half of this year, under these policies, Guiyang introduced 243 key talents and 787 high-level and urgently needed talents. Three postdoctoral workstations were approved, and one provincial-level key laboratory was approved, and a new provincial-level engineering technology research center was established.
In addition, three new provincial-level maker spaces and the first batch of 15 municipal-level professional workstations were added.
Guiyang has issued more than 12 million yuan ($1.85 million) in various talents funds, allocated 30 million yuan in research funds for big data key laboratories, and supported the implementation of 47 scientific and technological projects.
In addition, it plans to invest 47.6 million yuan in application research and development funds to help 405 enterprises achieve high-tech breakthroughs.
Meanwhile, Guian New Area has attracted more investment and business for its talent service policies.

It has applied for 23 patents through talent technological innovation and has achieved impressive development while promoting new-type industrialization with new technologies, new processes, and new results.
