The Guiyang qualification trials of the first Guizhou vocational skills competition reportedly came to an end in Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – on Sept 18.
Hosted by city's government, the event – which kicked off on Sept 10 – was jointly organized by the Guiyang municipal bureau of human resources and social security and a number of vocational colleges in the city.
The projects participating in the contest were involved in the fields of transportation and logistics, structure and construction technology, manufacturing and engineering technology, information and communication technology, creative art and fashion, as well as in social and personal services.
The first Guizhou vocational skills competition will be held in Guiyang from Oct 29 to Nov 8. The tournament is designed to create a comprehensive vocational skills competition brand in Guizhou, improve the local vocational skills competition system, as well as train more people with vocational skills.
