Efforts made in Nanming district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, to stabilize employment are seeing promising results.
Since the beginning of this year, the department in charge of employment in Nanming has visited more than 700 enterprises within its jurisdiction and issued 14.65 million yuan in rental subsidies for entrepreneurial and 2.30 million yuan in social insurance subsidies to college graduates.
A total of 29,411 new jobs have been created in the urban area of Nanming.
In addition to subsidies supporting employment, work skill training sessions have been held to help job seekers improve their competitiveness.
In the first eight months of this year, a total of 8,383 training sessions were held for various types of laborers, and 955 training sessions were conducted for enterprise employees.
Meanwhile, more actions were taken to boost employment through the establishment of innovation and entrepreneurship platforms.
Nanming currently has two national-level business incubation bases, two at the provincial level, three at the municipal level, and five at the district level. A total of 639 business entities have set up operations in these bases, providing jobs to 2,046 people.
Additionally, around 100 job fairs were held both online and offline during the past eight months, offering 90,000 job positions.
