Guizhou focuses on vocational skill training

In recent years, Southwest China's Guizhou province has been providing vocational skill training opportunities to support rural revitalization.

The province has built a number of vocational skill training brands and carried out training for electricians, welders, housekeepers, and chefs with a focus on training for urgently needed and high-income vocations.

In May, Guizhou rolled out guidelines on promoting high-quality training for farmers and vocational skill enhancement. It plans to provide more than 1 million vocational skill training opportunities throughout the year to comprehensively improve the effectiveness of skilled personnel training.

Human resources and social departments at all levels in the province should actively carry out vocational skill training for new industrialization, especially among key investment enterprises in the province.

Relevant departments will also train for the relocated impoverished residents and new citizens with a focus on new urbanization, on agricultural industries with a focus on agricultural modernization, and on service industry innovation and development focusing on tourism industrialization.

During the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) period, Guizhou built 10 national and 20 provincial highly-skilled personnel training bases, and 26 national and 94 provincial-level skilled master workshops.
