Guiyang, Guian promote high-quality employment

This year, the city of Guiyang and the Guian New Area – located in Southwest China's Guizhou province – have established a comprehensive public employment service system and promoted full employment, reportedly striving to achieve high-quality employment.

As of November this year, 151,300 new jobs had been created in the urban areas of Guiyang and the urban registered unemployment rate had been controlled to within 5 percent, according to a news conference held on Dec 2.

The Guiyang municipal bureau of human resources and social security has organized some 96 on-site and online job fairs over the past 11 months, providing 56,600 positions and attracting the participation of 22,000 jobseekers.

During the 11-month period, people out of poverty in Guiyang who went outside the province to find work reached 16,987 and the employment rate was 95.47 percent.

In addition, Guiyang and Guian jointly paid attention to the employment situation of key groups. As of November, a total of 19,700 people with employment difficulties had been helped, with 6,311 people in public welfare positions and 2,637 people in rural public welfare positions.

The two places have also provided salary subsidies and flexible talent introduction subsidies for employers. This is to introduce talent and provide incentives such as settlement allowances, talent contribution awards, house purchase subsidies and living allowances for staff members.

In the 11 months, three post-doctoral research workstations have been established. Nowadays, Guiyang is home to five national high-skilled personnel training bases, 17 skilled master studios, nine post-doctoral workstations, 10 provincial high-skilled personnel training bases and 34 advanced technical skills training studios.
