A job fair was held at Guizhou Normal University in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Dec 20, to help graduates in Guizhou find jobs and start businesses in Guiyang and Guian New Area.

At the job fair, five Guiyang universities and colleges, four municipal management schools and 28 primary and secondary schools in Guizhou provided a total of 623 jobs in the education field, helping graduates find employment.

The policy service team composed of the municipal departments provided students with policy consultations and explanations.

In terms of employment settlement, Guiyang and Guian provide zero-threshold settlement for graduates. For self-employment, a one-time entrepreneurship subsidy of 5,000 yuan ($784.79) will be given, and for fresh graduates with employment difficulties, a job-seeking and entrepreneurship subsidy of 1,000 yuan per person will be given.

"We offer 14 jobs for graduates to choose from," said Chen Xiaorong, the person in charge of Sanqiao Primary School in Guiyang. In addition to regular subjects such as language, mathematics, and English, the school also needs talent in music, fine arts and physical education.

Guiyang and Guian are currently seeing strong development momentum, provide a promising stage for innovation and entrepreneurship for all kinds of talent and are attracting more and more college and university graduates.
