Plans are being advanced for Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – to bring in some 3,000 talents in the current year, including 100 with doctorates, master's degrees and senior professional titles, to help boost development.

Last year, the zone achieved major breakthroughs in recruitment and training, developing online platforms and providing guaranteed HR services.

A thorough survey found that more than 2,000 companies are located in the zone. Currently, the workforce there numbers around 15,000, of whom 535 have master's degrees and above and 287 have deputy senior titles and above.

Plans are that in the current year the zone will organize key manufacturers to participate in provincial and municipal recruiting drives in a bid to attract high-level talents or teams – who in turn will help bring in more funds, technologies and projects for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The zone will also move to deepen school-government cooperation, build school-enterprise exchange platforms and support enterprises and universities in the province, to jointly build internship training bases for college and university students.

Through cooperation with universities, scientific research institutes, human resource institutions and training bodies, the zone is aiming to provide professional training for people in fields like big data to help them improve their professional and technical skills.

In addition, improved services will be provided for personnel in the zone, to help resident businesses and staff members resolve various issues and problems.
