A simulative job search competition launched by the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) and Guizhou Equipment Manufacturing Vocational College – both located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – was officially launched on March 31.
The registration deadline for the competition is April 25.
The competition aims to help students improve their job-seeking skills, stimulate their innovative thinking and enhance their innovative ability and core competitiveness.
All registered students over 16 years old at the Guizhou Equipment Manufacturing Vocational College can participate.
The competition is divided into seven stages: covering start-ups, training in resumed production, the preliminary rounds of the contest, the semi-finals, pre-finals training, the finals and the award-giving.
The training for resumed production will be held this month. The organizing committee of the competition will invite experts to the college to carry out training of participating students in terms of pointers for a resumption in production, content layout and production skills.
Based on the employment needs of enterprises in the GETDZ, participating students will be encouraged to submit their resumes for their favorite positions according to their career plans.
In addition, GETDZ's industry, business environment, employment and entrepreneurship policies will be prompted during the competition – to attract graduates to the zone for internships, employment and entrepreneurship.
