Guiyang, Guian eager for talent

The active, open and effective talent policies of Guiyang and Guian in Southwest China's Guizhou province have seen remarkable results, with the total amount and quality of talent in the two places increasing year by year.

With a focus on leading industries, key enterprises and industrial parks, Guiyang and Guian have introduced and trained various types of talent needed for the development of enterprises in a targeted manner.

The total number of talent in Guiyang and Guian is projected to reach more than 1.6 million in 2025, while the number of R&D personnel should exceed 200,000.

A total of 272,600 people graduated from college and university in Guizhou in 2022, and 110,200 have been employed, of which 36,700 are employed in the province.

Guiyang and Guian have made strong efforts in professional title compensation, housing security, employment placement for spouses, and service guarantees to provide talent the support they need.

In 2021, Guiyang and Guian spent a total of 50.88 million yuan ($7.64 million) on talent research, project funding support, settlement expenses, housing subsidies and living allowances.

Moving forward, Guiyang and Guian will continue to promote the effective implementation of talent policies, focus on talent introduction, deepen the integration of production and talent development, and improve the talent service system.
