Guizhou stabilizes employment, ensures entrepreneurship opportunities of graduates

The Guizhou Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education jointly enacted 20 measures to promote employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for 2022 university graduates.

Focusing on rural vitalization, Guizhou will actively expand grass-roots employment projects, recruiting 6,000 special post teachers and 8,000 Guizhou students to serve on a western program grass-roots project.

This year and next, Guizhou will continue to stabilize recruitment of university and college graduates by government agencies and institutions, and improve employment channels for graduates majoring in politics and law to enter grass-roots judicial organs.

Graduates who apply for the establishment of individual industrial and commercial households and private enterprises can enjoy special policy support such as entrepreneurship guaranteed loans and interest discounts, entrepreneurship subsidies, tax incentives, and entrepreneurship training.

Social insurance subsidies will be given to graduates who have not been employed within their year of graduation and within two years of leaving school.

The job-seeking and entrepreneurship subsidy payment standard for 2023 graduates experiencing employment difficulties will be raised to 1,500 yuan ($223.79) per person.

The province will also increase support for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, and provide support policies such as social insurance subsidies, entrepreneurship guaranteed loans, interest discounts, and tax reductions and exemptions, as required.

In addition, all vocational colleges in the province are required to strengthen the integration of schools and enterprises, and cooperate with qualified enterprises in talent training, employment, and entrepreneurship, and explore more employment opportunities.
