Guizhou departments roll out measures to support employment, entrepreneurship

The Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce, Guizhou Municipal Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and Guizhou Municipal Department of Education recently rolled out eight measures to support the employment and entrepreneurship of university and college graduates in the fields of commerce and trade circulation and open economy.

According to the measures, in 2022 more than 30,000 new graduates will be employed in the province's trade circulation and open economy, and no less than 13,000 of them will be in Guiyang and Guian New Area, no less than 5,000 will be in Zunyi, and no less than 2,000 will be in other cities and prefectures.

Guizhou will call upon outstanding graduates of colleges and universities in and outside the province involved in engineering, construction, new energy, international trade, international law and other majors to engage in e-commerce, foreign trade, foreign economics and other fields for employment and entrepreneurship.

Development zones, comprehensive bonded zones, ports and customs supervision zones in the province will be encouraged to offer high-quality internship positions to graduates.

With help from vocational colleges, technical colleges, colleges and universities in the province, Guizhou will work to cultivate teachers for e-commerce, internet marketing, and livestream sales to help graduates start their own businesses and find jobs.

In addition, domestic and foreign trade enterprises and development zones at all levels will be regularly organized to hold online and offline job fairs for the employment and entrepreneurship of graduates.
