Guiyang stands out at Guizhou vocational skills competition

The Guizhou First Vocational Skills Competition came to a close on July 23 at the China Guiyang Human Resources Service Industrial Park in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

During the five-day competition, 1,510 contestants from 12 teams competed in 75 competitions.

The Guiyang team won 15 gold medals, 21 silver medals, 17 bronze medals, and a total of 56 prizes, with a total team score of 397 points, ranking first among the nine cities and prefectures in the province.

At the closing ceremony, the competition's organizing committee presented awards to gold, silver and bronze medal winners in six competition tracks, including renewable energy, network system management, furniture production and hand embroidery.

The competition is a province-wide, comprehensive vocational skills competition with the highest specification, largest number of competitive events, largest number of participants, and the most extensive social influence.

It has driven enterprises and colleges to carry out technical training and competition activities and promoted large-scale vocational training, as well as helped cultivate knowledgeable, skilled and innovative workers.
