In the first half of this year, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province adopted various measures to increase the employment of veterans.

During this period, Guiyang and Guian designated 2,320 job positions for the targeted recruitment of veterans, and held 12 special recruitment activities for veterans.

Three agricultural industry entrepreneurship demonstration parks, two high-quality agricultural product brand demonstration sites, and 10 cooperatives for veterans were built.

The first Guiyang and Guian vocational competitions for veterans were successfully held as well.

Guiyang and Guian strengthened financial support services for entrepreneurship, cooperated with the Guiyang Branch of Agricultural Bank of China to promote "e-loan for veterans' entrepreneurship", and issued an additional 14.55 million yuan ($2.13 million).

The Guiyang Veterans Employment and Entrepreneurship Fund was established as well, with more than 800,000 yuan raised from the public.

In addition, Guiyang and Guian promoted vocational training for veterans' entrepreneurship and employment.

They also arranged for 401 retired soldiers to participate in nine professional vocational training sessions for excavator operation, network marketing engineering, and firefighting facility operation.
