Guiyang, Guian assist with rural labor employment transfers

Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province, held a special recruitment event to assist with rural labor employment transfers on Aug 29-31.

The event was mainly held in seven districts, county-level and counties, including Qingzhen county-level city, Kaiyang county and Baiyun district, where rural labor is relatively concentrated.

Through demand surveys, the event collected a total of 247 employment companies and 16,856 employment positions, involving industries with low thresholds and large employment capacity, such as manufacturing, housekeeping services, wholesale, retail, housing and meals.

The event attracted 7,442 job hunters, and 1,865 people reached initial employment intentions.

It aimed to promote the transfer of the employment of rural labor, increase the wages of rural laborers, and improve farmers' quality of life.

Relevant departments of human resources and social security will continue to carry out similar recruitment events in the future, according to Deng Hui, director of the Guiyang municipal bureau of human resources and social security.
