Since the onset of the current COVID-19 outbreak in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, departments related to human resources and social security in the city have coordinated pandemic prevention and control efforts to guarantee people's livelihoods.

During this period, 72 Party members at the Guiyang municipal bureau of human resources and social security have served as community volunteers to assist in scanning codes and information registration, material transportation, order maintenance, and site disinfection, and to provide assistance to groups in need.

The bureau communicated with the financial, banking and other departments in advance to ensure that the city distributes pensions for September in full before Sept 9.

As of Sept 5, 713 million yuan in pensions had been distributed, involving 205,900 people, and the rest are progressing as planned.

In addition, the bureau has completely suspended offline business processing and guided the public to handle business online.
