Entrepreneurship, innovation spurs Guizhou's development

Southwest China's Guizhou province has implemented a series of policies to support entrepreneurship and innovation and in recent years has promoted the construction of key innovation platforms, stimulating its economic development.

Currently, all parts of the province are making concerted efforts to build an entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem.

Last year, Guizhou launched four national entrepreneurship and innovation carriers for large and medium-sized enterprises, 10 national entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration bases for small and micro enterprises and 36 provincial entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration bases for small and micro enterprises.

For the 5th China Chuangyi Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition, Guizhou division, the province focused on the manufacturing and service industries and the projects areas of youth creativity, labor service brands and rural vitalization. 

Entrepreneurial teams from all over the province gave professional presentations on their projects during the competition.

After five days of competing, five first prizes, 15 second prizes, 25 third prizes and 50 excellent prizes were awarded and 19 outstanding projects were selected to participate in the national competition.

Since the competition was launched in March, 2,853 projects in the province signed up to participate.

The projects covered the fields of new materials and new energy, equipment manufacturing, medical and health and cultural creativity, as well as labor service brands.

As a result, a number of innovative and entrepreneurial projects with novel themes, strong innovation and great market potential are said to have emerged.
