Guizhou sees stable employment in Jan-Oct

From January to October, Southwest China's Guizhou province saw a stable employment situation, with various employment-related tasks achieving better-than-expected results, according to a news conference held on Dec 7.

During the period, the province created 581,300 jobs in urban areas, 96.89 percent of its annual target.

The province took a series of measures to help migrant workers returning to their hometowns to start a business and find employment, assist unemployed graduates, improve the labor service cooperation mechanism, and cultivate and strengthen the labor service brand.

Some 22.3 million yuan ($3.2 million) was allocated to support 88 counties in Guizhou in cultivating and strengthening labor service brands and boosting employment opportunities.

As of the end of October this year, 3.34 million poor laborers in the province had found work, 943,100 people from 413,500 households found employment in relocated places, 130,600 unemployed people were reemployed, and 70,900 people with employment difficulties were employed.

So far, 122 labor service brands have been cultivated and recognized in the province, and labor service brands have aided in the employment of 2.67 million people.
