Charter train takes migrant workers return to work

The D2879 charter bullet train for migrant workers departed from Guiyang North Railway Station in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Jan 30, heading for Guangzhou South Railway Station.

The bullet train, which carried more than 600 migrant workers, was the first train for migrant workers to depart from Guiyang North Railway Station in 2023.

The train was customized by Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture in Guizhou according to the needs of migrant workers returning to work.

Migrant workers can ride for free at the nearby Guiyang North Station or Duyun East Station.

On Jan 31 and Feb 6, Guiyang North Railway Station will also launch special trains for migrant workers, which will help a total of more than 1,200 migrant workers return to work.
