Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province, have rolled out a series of policies and measures to stabilize employment.
Some specific policies are as follows.
Enterprises in Guiyang and Guian are encouraged to recruit college and university graduates.
For the 2023 graduates of general institutions of higher learning, secondary vocational schools, and technical colleges in the province who have employment and entrepreneurial intentions and are actively seeking employment and entrepreneurship, a one-time job-seeking and entrepreneurship subsidy of 1,500 yuan ($215.3) will be given to each individual.
Small and micro enterprises, private economic organizations and social organizations will be given a one-time subsidy of 800 yuan for recruiting each registered unemployed college graduate, and signing a labor contract with a duration of more than one year and paying social insurance premiums.
A one-time subsidy of 500 yuan per person will be given to various production and business entities that recruit migrant workers who have returned to their hometowns and been employed stably for more than half a year this year.
Also, for rural laborers and people who have escaped poverty and have been working across provinces and have been employed stably for three months or more, a one-time transportation subsidy will be given up to a standard of no more than 100 yuan and 500 yuan, respectively.
