Guiyang, Guian strive to attract talent for high-quality growth

Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have taken multiple approaches to attract talent to contribute to the city's high-quality development.

Authorities of Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, organized a campaign last month to recruit graduates from universities outside the province, including Lanzhou University in Northwest China's Gansu province, Jilin University in Northeast China's Jilin province, Qingdao University in East China's Shandong province, Henan University in Central China's Henan province, and Kunming University of Science and Technology in Southwest China's Yunnan province.

More than 230 employers offered around 7,000 jobs on over 1,300 types of positions. More than 3,000 graduates committed to employment agreements with employers.

At the six job fairs organized by the Guiyang authorities, university graduates learned about the industrial structures, geographic advantages, development platforms and cultural environment of Guiyang and Guian, as well as the policies and measures the city government has unveiled to attract talent.

In addition, the Guiyang Talent Service Center signed the "Talent Introduction Liaison Workstation Co-construction Agreement" with Kunming University of Science and Technology and Henan University to deepen cooperation between universities and Guiyang.
