Since the beginning of this year, Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have made every effort to stabilize employment.

In 2022, more than 110,000 graduates from colleges and universities stayed in Guiyang and Guian, of which more than 90,000 stayed for employment and entrepreneurship.

This year, Guiyang and Guian have an action work plan to make more graduates choose to stay.

Guiyang and Guian have expanded the channels for job recruitment based on graduates' education, professional status, and employment intentions and collected more than 150,000 jobs in industrial enterprises.

With a focus on rural vitalization, grassroots governance, education, and medical care where talents are in short supply, Guiyang and Guian maximize the release of the number of employees in government agencies and institutions.

All colleges and universities, and employers are encouraged to deepen school-enterprise cooperation. Before the end of this year, 50 new internship practice platforms will be established to encourage more graduates to obtain employment through internships.

For self-employed college graduates, a one-time 5,000 yuan ($711.77) start-up subsidy and a monthly site rental fee subsidy of 500 yuan will be given, and they can apply for an entrepreneurial guarantee loan of up to 200,000 yuan by regulations.

Also, this year, Guiyang and Guian plan to raise 16,000 housing sets for talent. A rental subsidy of 2,400 yuan to 14,400 yuan will be issued to graduates who apply for rental housing. For graduates newly introduced by key industrial enterprises, 12,000 to 48,000 yuan per person will be given a settling allowance.
