Guizhou holds vocational skills competition for employees

The finals of the First Guizhou Vocational Skills Competition for Employees opened in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on June 27.

The competition aligns with the National Workers Vocational Skills Competition and consists of six national competition selection events and nine provincial specialty industry competition events.

The main competition area is located in Guiyang, where six competition events of fitter, welder, numerical control milling, network and information security administrator, mason, and tour guide service skills were held on June 27-29.

In the Renhuai, Puding, and Kaili sub-competition areas, competitions for nine events including the brewing of local liquor, handcrafted tea, and hand embroidery were held.

Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three individual contestants, and the Guizhou Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security will confer the title of "Guizhou Province Technical Expert" upon them.

In addition to the above rewards, contestants who receive first prizes will also be awarded the "Guizhou Province May 1 Labor Medal" and be included as nominees for the "Guizhou Artisan" selection.
