In recent years, Guiyang has attached great importance to talent work, focusing on the four major projects of "attracting, cultivating, utilizing, and retaining" talents.
It has unveiled multiple policies to attract talented people, such as talent cards, subsidies, household registration, housing, and public services to provide strong guarantees for talents to root in Guiyang and pursue their dreams.
Data shows that in 2022, Guiyang ranked 16th in talent attractiveness among provincial capitals nationwide. In the same year, among China's top 40 key cities in population growth, Guiyang ranked 5th. In the past year alone, more than 140 graduates from Central South University have gone to Guizhou to develop their careers in Guiyang and Guian.
Guiyang and Guian have established a team of over 3,500 specialists to recruit talented people, focusing on more than 1,800 companies and developing one-on-one support programs.
Shi Yuanyuan, a representative of the tourism business who has been rooted in Guiyang for nearly 20 years, shared her experiences of living and starting a business in Guiyang and promoted the charms of "Six Comforts" in Guiyang, including preferential policies for travel and new tourist attractions.
"The promotion today has given me a new understanding of Guiyang. It is a city with a fast-growing economy and rich historical and cultural heritage. After graduation, I will consider finding a job and settling down in Guiyang," said Feng Xuan, a student from Central South University.
