Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province added 83,000 new jobs in the first half, with all households now officially reported as having a breadwinner, officials from the Guiyang municipal bureau of human resources and social security bureau said at a news conference on July 28.
Moving forward, Guiyang and Guian will pursue more measures to promote stable employment, expand job opportunities and enhance the quality of the positions offered, in order to promote the city's development and improve people's livelihoods.
As part of these efforts, Guiyang and Guian will strive to stimulate the vitality of market entities and help boost their employment capacity. They will implement policies and measures to promote the high-quality development of the private economy, support the development of the digital economy and internet-based platform economy, and enhance the capacity of market entities to create more jobs.
Moreover, Guiyang and Guian will fully implement employment policies to keep the jobless rate down. This includes implementing policies like job retention incentives, social insurance subsidies, employment subsidies, as well as tax incentives. The service industry, small and micro-sized enterprises, and individual businesses with large employment capacity will receive more support.
Financial institutions will be encouraged to support the development of the real economy and small and micro-sized enterprises. Measures such as providing employment instead of relief will be implemented to promote employment and increase income.
They will also broaden the channels for youth employment and boost the overall employment volume. Guiyang and Guian will prioritize the employment of college graduates and other young people, and implement actions to support graduates who have not yet found jobs after graduating. They will also work to source more jobs from State-owned enterprises.
