Guiyang and Guian expand employment through multiple approaches

Since the beginning of this year, Guiyang City and Guian New Area have taken multiple measures to stabilize employment, achieving impressive results.

As of September this year, Guiyang and Guian had created 129,500 new urban employment opportunities.

Efforts have been made to focus on the employment of key groups such as unemployed individuals, migrant workers, and those struggling to find employment.

This has resulted in the re-employment of 43,200 unemployed individuals, the employment of 9,800 people struggling to find jobs, and the employment of 36,700 rural laborers for job transfers, benefiting 20,000 individuals, who have been lifted out of poverty.

Up until September, Guiyang and Guian had carried out vocational training for rural laborers and returning migrants, with a total of 33,000 training opportunities provided.

A total of 245 million yuan ($33.55 million) had been allocated for employment subsidies, including vocational training subsidies, public welfare job subsidies, and entrepreneurship subsidies.

Additionally, 288 million yuan in guaranteed loans for entrepreneurship had been issued, supporting 1,174 entrepreneurs and generating employment for 3,570 individuals.

So far, Guiyang ad Guian have established 31 incubation and demonstration bases for startups, including four at the national level and 12 at the provincial level.

These bases have nurtured over 1,700 startup entities, providing employment opportunities for more than 6,300 people.

In addition, 38 employment assistance workshops and bases have been established, employing over 11,000 individuals.
