Creating an environment that retains talents by providing high-quality living and working conditions has always been a key priority of Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Efforts have been made to improve the talent card system, with talent cards being issued to high-level talents, industrial talents, and young talents, accompanied by corresponding policy guarantees.
Additional housing purchase and internship subsidies have also been introduced specifically for university and college graduates, building upon existing settlement fees, living allowances, subsidies for renting and buying houses, salary supplements, recruitment incentives, and flexible internship subsidies.
In addition, efforts have been made to streamline household registration procedures, with 63 high-frequency household registration services now accessible through a one-stop online platform via mobile phones and computers.
Emphasis has also been placed on publicity and guidance related to employment, entrepreneurship, education, healthcare, and housing policies.
Multiple channels have been utilized to secure talent housing. Over the past year, approximately 16,000 talent-subsidized rental housing units and 34,000 market-rental units were collected.
Additionally, a rental subsidy ranging from 2,400 yuan ($335.15) to 14,400 yuan per person has been provided for university graduates who have graduated within the past three years, with the current number of applicants sitting at 21,000.
