In the past three years, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have built talent attraction platforms and enhanced service quality to retain talent, focusing on college and university graduates and key industry professionals.
Statistics show that over the past three editions of the Guizhou Professionals Convention, more than 80,000 talent demands were collected, and 362,100 resumes were submitted online.
During this period, over 8,700 urgently needed talents were recruited, 177 national and provincial expert talents were cultivated, 259 experts were selected as liaisons by the municipal committee, and 498 national and provincial platforms were established.
The talent pool in Guiyang and Gui'an has increased by over 100,000 individuals in three years, reaching over 1.51 million.
Guiyang and Gui'an aim to retain 100,000 new graduates annually, with 480,000 job positions announced. They also organize over 1,300 campus job fairs and conduct talent recruitment activities in nearly 30 out-of-province universities.
Efforts have been made to improve the housing security system for talent, with 61,000 housing units established, providing monthly rental subsidies of up to 800 yuan ($112.34).
By addressing talents' educational, healthcare, and transportation needs, Guiyang and Gui'an have provided them with a greater sense of belonging.
