Guiyang selected as talent-friendly city of 2024

According to Guiyang bureau of human resources and social security, the "2024 China talent-friendly city research report" produced in collaboration with the Chinese Association of Human Resource Development and several authoritative institutions, was recently released.

Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was selected as a talent-friendly city of 2024.

The report outlines the index of the top 10 talent-friendly cities in China and establishes a comprehensive and policy-oriented talent-friendly city index system based on objective data, focusing on the attractiveness of cities to talent and the development of talent ecosystems.

Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have been deepening reforms around the "Guiyang talent" brand, talent actions, talent platforms, talent policies and talent mechanisms,and making efforts to attract and retain talent among university and college graduates.

Guiyang and Gui'an continue to optimize their talent development environment and accelerate the development into a talent hub.

In July 2024, Guiyang and Gui'an issued policies and measures to vitalize themselves with talent, proposing 23 policies related to the attraction, cultivation, employment and retention of talent.

Various opportunities and services are being offered to talent moving to Guiyang, with a focus on talent cards, finance, household registration, housing, and jobs.

There are currently 1.52 million talent in Guiyang and Gui'an, and the innovation capacity index ranks 27th among 101 innovative cities nationwide.

Next, Guiyang and Gui'an will focus on optimizing and enhancing the employment of university and college graduates by monitoring jobs and matching supply with demand.

By 2025, Guiyang and Gui'an aim to attract 1.6 million talent and continuously enhance the influence of the regional talent hub.
