The 2025 graduate job fair of Guizhou Normal University, jointly hosted by the university and the Guiyang bureau of human resources and social security, took place on Dec 13 at the university's gymnasium.
The event aimed to attract graduates to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
A total of 172 employers offered 497 positions, with 3,400 job openings available. The event drew over 2,600 graduates, with 1,978 resumes submitted and 229 preliminary job agreements reached. Job opportunities spanned various fields, including Chinese language and literature, mathematics, English, chemistry, computer science, and administrative management.
Graduates actively engaged with recruiters, presenting well-prepared resumes and inquiring about job requirements, career development, and compensation. Employers enthusiastically introduced company profiles and evaluated candidates' skills and experience to identify ideal matches.
Policy briefings and skills training were also held to enhance graduates' job readiness and career planning. The Guiyang Talent Service Center detailed local employment and entrepreneurship policies, while experts provided practical job-hunting tips. These boosted students' confidence in pursuing careers in Guiyang and Gui'an.
The fair was a collaborative success, connecting young talent with regional employers and injecting new energy into the local economy. Guizhou Normal University, Guiyang, and Gui'an aim to deepen partnerships to create innovative employment solutions and support graduates in achieving professional growth.
