Guizhou boosts graduate employment with comprehensive initiatives

The Guizhou Provincial Department of Education has launched the 2025 Winter Employment Support Initiative & Online Recruitment Month to optimize career guidance services and promote early employment for university and college graduates.

The event, which runs from Jan 25 to March 15, features virtual job fairs, live-streamed job introductions, and career counseling to connect graduates with suitable positions and help employers find the right talent.

The initiative includes career assessments and resume coaching to help graduates identify suitable career paths and enhance their competitiveness. Scientific evaluations of personal abilities, interests, and strengths provide targeted guidance for professional growth.

Universities and colleges in Guizhou province have recently taken measures to boost employment.

Guizhou Education University hosted a fall job fair with over 170 employers offering over 3,400 positions in education, journalism, linguistics, chemistry, and computer science.

Guizhou Light Industry Technical College welcomed human resources expert Hu Xiao, who shared resume writing and presentation tips.

Guizhou University of Commerce held a graduate employment report seminar, where industry expert Huang Jin analyzed job market trends.

On Dec 10, 2024, the Guizhou Provincial Department of Education issued a seven-point directive to enhance graduate employment. The directive focuses on aligning talent cultivation with market demands, expanding job opportunities through market-driven channels, refining employment guidance services, and strengthening employment service guarantees.
