Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province have revised and improved the rules for talent housing subsidies to expand policy coverage.
In addition to Zhucai Card holders, full-time employees newly introduced for over three months in key industries participating in social insurance and under 35 years old with at least an associate degree are now eligible for subsidies.
Previously, only Zhucai Card holders were eligible for housing subsidies ranging from 10,000 yuan ($1,384.) to 1 million yuan for their first home purchase in Guiyang or Gui'an. Over the past three years, 8.17 million yuan in talent housing subsidies have been distributed.
To enhance and refine the policy, the Guiyang bureau of human resources and social security conducted enterprise visits, solicited feedback, and held multiple meetings.
The new policy now includes talent introduced by key industry enterprises. Subsidy standards remain: A-class talents receive 600,000 yuan (1 million yuan for top-level experts), B-class 400,000 yuan, C-class 150,000 yuan, and G-class at 10,000 yuan. Graduates receive 50,000 yuan for a PhD, 30,000 yuan for a master's, and 10,000 yuan for a bachelor's or associate degree.
Eligible applicants must purchase property within three years of starting work and apply within 12 months of completing the property registration. Online applications can be submitted via the Guiyang and Gui'an One-Stop Talent Service Platform.
