The competition focused on testing power batteries, the core component of new energy vehicles. Contestants evaluated battery performance and safety, testing individual cells, modules, and systems, including insulation checks, capacity calibration, and consistency analysis.

A total of 52 contestants participated, 63 percent of which were industry professionals and the rest students, making it one of the most competitive events.

This year, Guiyang Vocational and Technical College has partnered with Geely Engine Guizhou Co to launch a specialized training class for new energy engine technicians. The class is currently open for enrollment and is set to begin in September.
