Guiyang and Gui'an hold vocational skills competition

The closing ceremony of the Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area Selection Competition for the Second Guizhou Provincial Vocational Skills Competition – also known as the 4th "Zhucheng Craftsman Cup" Vocational Skills Contest – was held at the Grand Auditorium of Guiyang Healthcare Vocational University on May 9.

This year's competition featured 59 skill categories, including electronics technology and CNC milling, and attracted a record-breaking 1,558 participants, with the number of contestants and competition items reaching new highs. After rigorous evaluation, 634 participants were awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals or excellence awards.

During the awards segment, honors were presented in some categories, including Guizhou provincial master skills studios, logistics and transportation, information and communication technology, social and personal services, rural vitalization, and manufacturing and engineering technology.

Since beginning on March 29, the competition has focused on key industries in Guiyang and Gui'an, such as electronic information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing, and new energy vehicles, providing a platform to assess participants' professional skills and innovative capabilities.

The first and second place winners in each category will go on to represent Guiyang in the Second Guizhou Provincial Vocational Skills Competition.
