The Guizhou Science City Service Center announced on July 24 that 22 innovation and entrepreneurship talent teams have been newly introduced since the beginning of this year.
Among them, eight teams have already registered companies on-site. These teams come from leading institutions such as Sun Yat-sen University, Wuhan University, and Hunan University, with their business areas spanning life and health sciences, intelligent driving, new energy, and modern technology services. In addition, 14 other teams have established project collaborations with enterprises based within Guizhou Science City.
Notable examples include a team led by Professor Hong Xin from Hunan University that is engaged in the development and industrialization of high-performance swarm robots with intelligent sensing and collaborative control. The team's project won the National Excellence Award and First Prize in the Guizhou Division of the 13th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
Another standout is Professor Wang Zhenbo's team from Harbin Institute of Technology that focuses on key technologies for phosphate-titanium-based new energy materials. Their work enhances the comprehensive utilization of phosphate resources by achieving full resource recovery of phosphorus, fluorine, and silicon, strengthening Guizhou's capabilities in the fluorochemical industry.
"The arrival of these new talent teams enhances the scientific research capacity of Guizhou Science City and injects fresh momentum into regional economic development," said Li Wei, head of the science and technology talent section of Guizhou Science City Service Center. "These teams are expected to drive more project implementation, fostering a virtuous cycle of science, industry, and talent."
