Guiyang and Gui'an create over 137,000 jobs

The Guiyang bureau of human resources and social security reported that Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area have created 137,900 new urban jobs so far this year, driving high-quality and sufficient employment in both regions.

A total of 169,000 job opportunities suitable for college graduates have been gathered and published. Meanwhile, 752 million yuan ($105.58 million) in relief funds have been allocated to support businesses.

Over 5,000 key enterprises, including BYD and CATL, received assistance to fill 27,000 job vacancies, while 35,000 quality positions were provided in high-tech and digital economy sectors for employees.

Employment services have been provided to diverse groups, including college graduates, rural workers, individuals lifted out of poverty, persons with disabilities, and veterans. These efforts have resulted in 443,900 job opportunities and helped 54,200 unemployed and disadvantaged individuals secure employment.

Guiyang and Gui'an have also established Guizhou provincial employment training alliances in the new energy vehicle and big data sectors, launched 11 order-based training programs, and trained 676 participants.

In addition, local universities, industrial parks, and enterprises have jointly built five provincial-level education-industry integration consortia, seven sector-based collaboration platforms, and five industrial-education alliances.

Currently, the two regions are home to 77 accredited vocational skill certification institutions capable of certifying 137 occupations, with 19,300 occupational certifications completed so far.
