Hosted by the Guiyang bureau of human resources and social security, the event focuses on startups in key industries and aims to address challenges such as limited access to financing, markets, and supply-chain resources.
The 31 projects were selected from winners of the 2026 Guiyang-Gui'an Entrepreneurship Competition and projects recommended by districts and counties. They span sectors including cultural tourism, healthcare and wellness, artificial intelligence, drones, big data computing, and local specialties.
Each project delivered an eight-minute pitch followed by five minutes of questions, while a face-to-face forum session facilitated further discussions between startups and investors. Investment institutions will conduct follow-up visits and due diligence on promising projects, with potential support including financing and business management guidance.
Since Guiyang began hosting such matchmaking events in 2024, nearly 10 projects have reached preliminary financing cooperation agreements. The Guiyang bureau of human resources and social security will continue tracking projects that reach preliminary cooperation agreements at the event.
